French Mahogany Bureau Plat in Directoire Style, late 19th century, circa 1880. This piece features a rectangular top with a dark blue and gilt-tooled leather writing surface, above five drawers with false fronts on the reverse. The sides include pull-out leather-lined slides, and the desk stands on square tapering legs.
